My main takeaway from the Workshop is to analyze entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial activities through the framework of PECs (personal entrepreneurship competencies). The workshop helped me identify my weak points and it will help me tremendously to gain not only as a businessman but also as an individual. It was like a mirror that helped me identify my blind spots. It will help me achieve not only my business goals but also my life goals.
A business graduate from George Washington University, USA, I returned seven years ago to take over our family business which was being run by a third party. It is called Ram's Assorted Cold Storage Ltd and we export frozen shrimps. I learnt about the Empretec Workshop from a mailer of CII (Confederation of Indian Industries) and was curious to give it a try as it emphasised entrepreneural behavioural skills.
What can I give to the communityI want Empretec to actively conduct workshops in my region and if possible in regional languages. A six day program, for the rural and urban community, would be amazing! Consider it as a steroid shot of human capital development. I would expect networking opportunities.
What I wish to get from the communityI would like to offer my network and skills to the community. I would also like to play an active role in promoting Empretec in Odisha and the rest of the world.
